LIHEAP – Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program

Get help paying your home heating bills.

The LIHEAP program assists eligible households in paying their gas and/or electric bills.  Eligible households are determined by household size, income, geographical location, and type of fuel used.

A LIHEAP Representative will be scheduled at a later date.


SNAP – Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program

SNAP assists eligible people who need help buying food for themselves and their children.  Benefits are delivered electronically through the Illinois Link card, and the dollar amount is based on the number of people in a household, income, and expenses.  There is an income guideline to receive this benefit.

To meet with a SNAP Representative, please call the Pantry for an appointment, 630-512-9921.

Financial Planning

The West Suburban Community Pantry will periodically bring in a Certified Financial Planner will be available for a free, one-on-one consultation with clients about:

  • Getting your finances organized
  • Learning how to budget
  • Getting out of debt
  • Preparing for emergencies
  • Preparing for retirement
  • Getting back on track

An advisor is available, by appointment only, the 2nd Thursday of each month from 5:30 to 7:30 PM.

Financial Literacy

On the fourth Thursday of each month*, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, there will be a Financial Literacy Program presented by Hope’s Front Door.

November 30 (the Fifth Thursday)
